The launch of the first Intel powered Macbook Pro’s over five years ago propelled Apple Macbooks into the hearts and minds of the masses. Subsequent models have steadily improved and as a result Apple have enjoyed continued success.
But Apple’s premium products attract premium price tags that are often hard to swallow. In fact, one of the most commonly asked questions we receive is “where’s the cheapest place to buy an Apple?”.
Below, we’ve highlighted a couple of UK retailers that we consider to be the cheapest places to buy Apple’s from.

What we like – Consistently cheaper than just about anywhere else we checked.

Details – It’s not easy to find retailers that are prepared to price Apple products far below their recommended retail prices. SimplyElectronics.net seem to be the exception to this rule and have proven to be the cheapest Apple retailer we have come across in the UK.
For example, our favourite Apple portable at the moment is the excellent Macbook Air. Of the various Macbook Air models available the 128gb variant represents the best compromise between storage and value for money but still attracts a £930+ price tag at most retailers. SimplyElectronics.net currently sells the same model for just under £880 with free delivery.
Ok, it’s still expensive but that’s a saving of £50 and the best price we could find. If you’re in the market for a new Apple you’ll struggle to find prices cheaper than those at SimplyElectronics.net.

What we like – Fantastic service, very fast delivery

Details – Whilst Amazon might not be quite as cheap as SimplyElectronics.net they go some way to compensate for this by offering a fantastic service. Amazon Prime customers can order right up to 5pm for next day delivery which is nothing short of astonishing.
You also have the added piece of mind of knowing that you’re dealing with Amazon, a company that has built it’s success on providing a pleasant, secure online shopping experience.
